STAINLESS STEEL FINISHES - AISI/ASM (These products can be made available in following grades:304/304l, 316/316l, 430, and 201.)
2D finish: Is cold-rolled, heat-treated, and then pickled. Commonly used for deep drawn, non-shined, etc.
2B finish: Is cold-rolled, heat-treated, pickled and then temper-rolled to get surface luster. General use of cookware's, kitchenware's, vessels and industrial use, etc.
BD finish: Cold-rolled, & bright-annealed, but not pickled.(brighter & more fine than on 2D) Commonly used for medical equipment, such as injection needles and electronic appliances, etc.
BB finish: Is cold-rolled, bright-annealed, and then temper-rolled to get surface luster. Use for high grade kitchen wares, cookware, electronic goods and home appliances, etc.
BA(EC) finish: Precision is cold-rolled, bright-annealed, and then temper-rolled to get enhanced luster & glossiness. For the use required at once easy mechanical workability and the fine surface finish/brightness/luster; such as for shining water tanks, kitchen sinks, electronic appliances, etc.
BA(EA) finish: Is pre surface-fined, precision cold-rolled, bright-annealed, and then temper-rolled to get ultra surface glossiness/reflection similar to on mirror. Used for highly glossy finish; such as building interior, automobile out-side decoration, etc.
NO. 3 Is a 100 mesh intermediate finish used where a semi finished polished surface is sufficient as further finishing operations will follow fabrication. For prefinished sheet or articles not subject to additional finishing or polishing, a NO.4 finish is recommended.
NO.4 Is 120 - 150 mesh finish applied to a pre-conditioned sheet using abrasive belts and lubricating oils. A uniform commercial finish used extensively in food, dairy, and pharmaceutical process equipment, or anywhere a smooth sanitary appearance is desired. Architectural quality sheets can be produced from suitable starting material with a knowledge of end use details.
NO.6 Is a dull satin finish having lower reflectivity than NO.4. It is produced by tampico-brushing NO. 4 finishing sheets in a medium of abrasive and oil. It is used for applications where a dull matte finish is necessary.
NO.7 Is a finish with a high degree of reflectivity, produced with fine abrasives to 320 grit then using a heavy lubricant or buff, bring the final finish to semi-mirror without removing the grit lines. It is used chiefly for architectural trim and ornamental purposes or special industrial applications where a very fine finish is required.
NO. 8 Is the most reflective of the A.I.S.I. / ASM finishes and is obtained by polishing with successively finer abrasives and buffing extensively with very fine rouges. the surface is essentially free of grit line from preliminary grinding operations. This finish is most widely used for architectural applications, press plates mirrors and reflectors.
